Bugs.....who's bugs are the best??

That's a silly question....well while I was stamping tonight my hubby Jason came upstairs to see what I was making!

I was casing Beate Johns card and was having some difficulty with the scalopped edging....I just can't seem to get it!! Well this is my finished card(top) I said to Jason how do you like my card? He did NOT like my card.....and thought he could do better....so he sat down and proceeded to stamp Beate's card(bottom)......and did a WONDERFUL job!!!

Your Thinking....WHAT??

Why don't I have a hubby like that......or maybe you do....

It all started in 2001 when I brought home a Stampin' Up! Catalog.....I had never stamped, scrapbooked or craft anything before!!! I saw the catty and new I needed to learn this NEW craft....so I signed up as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. When UPS brought my box of stamps to the house..Jason called and said my box came.........

when I got home he was STAMPING!!!!! and ever since then he enjoy's Stamping & Scrapbooking!! Now that he works so much he does'nt always have time .....Jason even made a SCRAPBOOK for his MOM for Christmas!! So I guess I am so lucky to have a wonderful hubby who love's to stamp too!!!!and it does'nt even bother him that I SPEND $$$$.....

I let him GOLF so I guess you could say we are even......naaaaa........I still spend way more $$!!!

Does Your Hubby(or significant other) STAMP???
Leave me a comment with your address and I will pick a name and my Hubby Jason will send you a RAK...... I will wait till FRIDAY 7-13 to pick a name and then announce who WON!!! So who will play?? YOU......

Happy Stamping!!!

  1. My hubby gives me great input and advice, but he hasn't stamped. He did help me make our son's wedding invitations- punching and cuddlebugging.

  2. My husband won't do any actual stamping, but he will give me tips on how to make it look better. I've tried to get him to stamp at least once, but he won't. He does give pretty good advice though.

  3. My husband doesn't stamp, but is very supportive of my habit and never complains about the amount of $ I spend on my addiction. Your husband did an awesome job on his card!

  5. My hubby has stamped a few times... mostly when he's completely forgotten to get me a card. But I love that he tries.

He also is great for me to bounce design ideas off of. Sometimes he just "gets it".

  7. My husband stamp? Never! He thinks its a big waste of time and money. If he Did stamp that would be great, because he would want some of the new things I want. He even said, "If you go before me (die) I am going to have a big bon-fire". Don't get me wrong, he lovees me and wants me to be happy, thats why I can get stamps in the first place, but he thinks time would be better spent elsewhere.

  8. my husband is so NOT the stamper. the most he will do is pass my little station and say "addiction!"... or "obsession!"... and when i show him my cards, it is always met with the same answer "cute."
    hahahaha

  13. My husband is definitely not a stamper, but he is a golfer. I still haven't told him this hobby is more expensive than golf. LOL

  14. My hubby once saw an altered purse that I had made and stamped. He asked me how I did it. So I showed him. He then proceeded to make one - a Harley "man-purse" as a joke for his BIL! He used brads and chains on it and even lined the inside in black satin. I wish I would have taken I photo of it before we gave it away!

  15. My husband hasn't got a creative gene in his entire body. He works with numbers & logic only. Even when I ask his advise on a card I've created, he always gives the same answer, "You should sell your cards, how much do they sell for?" Arrgh!

  16. I've been trying to convice Brad to start stamping, but he just won't admit it's quite fun. As soon as he introduces me to people he starts blabbing about my hobby and even shows people samples! It's so funny!

  18. My hubby has stamped a few cards for me over the last few years, but in general, he hates it when I obsess over stamping decisions with him: Do you like this card? What can I add to this card to make it better? What stamps do you like? Should I buy this one or that one? etc.....

  19. Actually, my husband is a closet stamper. The ONLY time he stamps is when I'm going out of town without him. He makes a card for me, sticks a $10 bill in it, and hides it in my suitcase. I've tried to catch him working on the card, but I've never seen him in the act. It's one of the sweetest things he does for me.

  20. He actually plays on the computer all day, so when he gets bored is when is touching my stuff n wants to know what it is used for. Instead of using it for what it is made to he use's to pester myself and the dogs. The only scrap related thing has done is to help cut a paper piece when they where in at the time. Nothing mre than that. Your one lucky woman to have himm scrap with you. I think it would soften the blow on how much I spend then.

  21. My dh does NOT stamp. I tried to get him to once. He won't!! Probably thinks he will secretly like it! He loved to look over my shoulder and criticize all the time!! I love him anyway because I know he's just trying to push my buttons!! He'll be 40 this weekend, maybe I'll get him some new rubber!

  22. I do all the scrapbooking of our still photography. He puts all our video camera shots together with music & fancy graphics. So even though our interests are on different spectrums, our family memories are being preserved through both of us.

  23. My hubby wont stamp but will beg for a card for work-I finally told him to do it himself and he went to Hallmark. I did give my son a box of inks and stuff and he gave me all the Rudolph stamps he found at Hobby Lobby especially Yukon COrnelius my favorite character!

My hubby is a sofa slug-but I can use the remote better than him to find me some sports when he isnt looking.

  24. Yup! He is a totally manly man, but he loves to stamp! He also doesn't have lots of time, but has posted a few cards on my blog. My kids also stamp! The family that stamps together stays together!! **wink**

  25. My hubby goes shopping with me to the LSS and helps me pick stuff out, he gives me his opinion on how things look or what goes together. Now that I am getting into stamping he is starting to give his input on which SU kits to get first but hasn't tried it himself yet. He tries so hard though to stay involved in my hobby, he knows how much I love it and tries to share that with me. I am so glad that your hubby can share yours with you.

  26. My husband used to stamp- we took a Stampscapes class years ago and he used to do some intricate scenic work. Now he is too busy to stamp but he helps me choose new stuff (he has a great eye for stamps- what he picks usually becomes a staple item for me!)

  27. That is too cool! I'm gonna forward this to my husband. He's stamped with me once at a technique class and had fun. He may have had fun but he's not bitten by the bug yet.

  30. How wonderful that he shares your hobby with you! Good for the both of you.

Let me know what problem you are having with the scalloped borders. I think using the corner rounder to make the scalloped border is easier then the slit punch Jason used. You can see a quick tutorial on my blog.

Thanks for casing my card. I am flattered!
    Hugs and smiles

  31. My husband complains that with all the money I've invested in this hobby, we could own a Hallmark. He just doesn't "get it". It's fine by me though, I don't like to share my toys:)

  32. OH yes, yes, yes he does. Not often, mainly for cards for me because he knows that I love getting that extra special personal touch on gifts.

  33. My husband doesn't stamp but he supports me in what I do. Plus he does cut out all my stamp sets for me which is a HUGE help and has helped me figure out things from time to time when I'm stumped on how to fold something or measurements etc..he's a carpenter so we trade looking at each other's work. 34. Erik stamps. He'll get frustrated that I'm spending so much time at the stamp table, come to join me and start creating something. He even came up with his own image idea: he used left-over rubber from a larger stamp set to create a butt-shaped stamp. He used it to create a charming card for his mom on Mother's Day this year.
