Meet Lucy
the newest member of our family!
Well I did it, got a new puppy and her name is Lucy
we call her LULU. After Jade passed away
I had no plans on getting another dog,
until my daughter Maddy and I were at Wal-Mart
and they were giving these adorable puppies away for Free
I just could not say No to that adorable face!
I knew my Hubby Jason was not going to be happy.
We went to his work and I asked him to come out
to the car and he said "There better not be a puppy in the car"
and there was Lucy with Maddy!
The minute he saw her face and smelled her puppy breath
he was in Love. Now I have lost my hubby to Lucy.
The guy is crazy about her, you would think we had another baby!
He hold's her, put's her to bed in her kennel and get's down on the floor
to play with Lucy! Is it possible to loose your man to a puppy?
The kids are so excited and King and Mossimo
don't seem to mind her either.
Sorry I did not post a tutorial today, My 2 boys
that have hogged the computer's all day. I plan on waking up early to
post some christmas cards I have been working on.

Good Monday Afternoon!
Every Monday I showcase a card I case from somewhere
in the crafting world. Todays card is from
Dawn McVey and her awesome Blog "My Favorite Things"
Here is Dawn's card!
Dawn is a Great artist, I visit her blog daily for ideas.
Her cards are so much fun and simple yet elegant.
Thanks so much to Dawn for inspiring me.
I'm thinking that I might have to keep this card
instead of sending it out in the mail to someone special!
I might even try to get it published!!
If that's something I can do.
Visit Dawn's Blog and see if she inspires you too.

Tuesday Tutorial...
on Wednesday!!
Sorry I am late, I was behind on this project but love the way it turned out!!

It's not my idea and I would love to give credit to the person who
passes this tutorial on to me but I don't know who it is!

Directions

1.Take an 8.5" x 11" piece of card stock
score at 5" and 6 on the 11" side
turn you card stock
2.Score at 2" and 2.5" at the bottom
of the 8.5" side of cardstock

3. Cut along the score marks at the bottom up
to the 2.5". Fold up this small flap and glue down

4. Put a 1/4" hole at 3" from the top and 1/4" from the outside edges and from
the inside scores. To be sure the the cards fit, put a card in each pocket
before punching the holes.

5. Put on the front a matching design for the stationary.

6. Run ribbon thru the holes starting from the right side hole
on the front and then go to the next hole weaving in and out.

Case A Card Monday
Please excuse my picture, I have been using photobucket
and don't know how to crop my pictures.
I really need to go back to picasa!
Today's card my daughter Madeline helped
me put it together. I got the idea from a card I saw
in PaperCrafts Holiday Cards 2006!
I am a magazine junky and keep all my magazines
having to do with paper crafting & scrapbooking.
The card is on page 25.
Below are the instructions.

Instructions:
1. Make a 6x6 size card base.
2. Punch at least 5 circles using punches of different sizes from DSPaper
3. Sketch circle on card.
(I used creating memories circle cutter as my template).
Stamp Sentiment in center,
4. Adhere largest punch circles layering with smaller circle to form a Wreath.
5. Tie ribbon in bow, adhere to card

This card is so much fun once your done making it!!
Enjoy!

Sorry I am so late in posting todays card.
I had every intention in posting it last night but was so tired

Usually I will change the Paper & Ink colors
when I case a card but not this time.
I feel in love with this card just the way it was!
You have to forgive my ribbon tying, I really suck at
tying ribbon! I really need to practice because ribbon
is one of my favorite embellishments!
Plus I have soooooooo much ribbon!!
But who does'nt!
I hope you will enjoy this cute card.
I think it makes a great sympathy card. I always make
two, so I can keep one and mail the other!
I love this Stamp Set, it is my favorite sympathy set.

Friends Card....
using retired Stampin' Up! paper
I made this card a few weeks ago before
my precious Jade passed away.
She loved to sit a my feet while I stamped
I miss that so much! I never thought the death of my
dog Jade would be so emotional for me.
Don't get me wrong I am just as saddened by the passing
of my Grandma Dale. I use to send her cards with pictures
of my family on a monthly basis.
You just don't know what it meant to her!
Thanks for listening to me ramble on and on....
and back to this awesome card!!
I frequent this blog called,
Card Positioning System it has some great card sketches
I got the sketch for this CUTE card from
If you get a chance bookmark this website for future
card sketch ideas!!

and really had fun making this card.
I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Bag in a Box...
Christmas Style!
I have been playing around with some Gift ideas
for this Holiday Season. I have some craft fairs coming up in
October, November & December.
I learned how to make these cute Bag in a Box
last year. They are so easy and fun to make.
You can fill them up with candy.
Last Halloween I made these for the kids friends.
Tomorrow I will post the directions on my Blog.
I don't feel very Inspired today.
My Grandma is 91 and is very sick.
She has been in a coma since yesterday.
A few weeks ago she fell and broke her hip
and has gone down hill since then.
The Doctor and my Mom & her Sister's desided it was to
dangerous to put in a feeding tube.
She can not swallow, she has eaten or drank anything
in over 2 weeks. My grandma and I are VERY close.
I am her favorite Granddaughter. She calls me her "Duties"
Her house is a shrine to me! Pictures of me everywhere!
She has 11 Grandchildren 18 Great Grandchildren.
My sisters Abby & Ashley,
My brothers James & Eric have not had kids yet!
My children call her Grandma Cotton Top
because she has white fuzzy hair like a cotton ball!
My Aunt Katie said it will anytime now.
I am just waiting for a phone call with the bad news.
So it has not been a very happy week for me.
I am still morning the death of my dog Jade
and now my Grandma. I wish I was with her.
I am going to Minnesota on October 14th for a few days
to visit my mom. My sister Abby is coming from LA at the same time!
We will celebrate my Grandma passing at that time.

Sorry for all the bad news, Thanks for letting me share!
I'll be back tomorrow with a Color Challenge.

Mojo Monday
last weeks sketch...
I am so late!! I have been meaning to post everyday this week.
My dog Jade has been VERY sick
and we had to put her down today.
It was the worst!!
My dog's are like my kids.
So my heart is aching . Jason and I took her to the vet
this morning. She was in shock because she had a bad
infection in her Uterus. They did not even think she would
make it through the surgery. So we did not want her to suffer.
This morning I let her out to pee, she never came back.
Jason and looked everywhere for her for over an hour.
We found her in the bushes just laying down.
Our daughter Madeline wants to be a vet so she has been watching
Animal Planet since she was a little girl.
She took the news about Jade and did not even cry.
I think she new when she went to school how bad Jade was.
Myles cried a little but Mac was a basket case.
Both Jason and I cried all morning until the kids came home.
We have been remembering all the wonderful memories Jade has given us.
She was almost 5 and we love & miss her.
I will share my recipe tomorrow along with lots
of projects I have been working on.
Blog Candy Winner...
Since only 2 people left me comments
I have desided to send you both some paper!
Please email me your address so I can get it in the mail.
Thanks for the comments!

I just LOVE Mojo Monday's
and there is nothing better then a new sketch to start off the week!
For my card I used some retired Stampin' Up! Paper with a Halloween theme.

since Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.
With me being sick, I have not had any workshops or classes in months.

Very Thankful..
for a Sketch Challenge
from Splitcoaststampers!

I am so thankful that I can STAMP!
I discovered stamping back in 2001.
I had only seen a Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog
and knew I wanted to learn this new found hobby
called Rubber Stamping.
I use to love to buy cards and spent a fortune
on them....then someone said I could make my own cards.
So I sign up as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator
and my hubby Jason and I learned to Stamp together.
It was so easy for us to Stamp together
when the kids were younger
then the kids got older and we don't have time to
stamp together anymore.
Tonight Jason was doing school work
and the kids were watching TV
So I snuck into my stamp studio
and made this cute card!
Using Very Thankful....
Ronald McDonald House Charities
Stamp Set, it's another one of my new sets.
I used the Splitcoast Sketch Challenge (SC241)

Sorry No Pictures Today...
I want to talk about my blog and the negative comments
someone is anonymously leaving.
I am going to get very personal here.
I am not the most positive person in this world
but I am trying to change my attitude.
I have some really bad stuff happen to me in my 35 years I have been in this world.
Everyday is a struggle for me. But I just take one day at a time.
Because I am working on changing, I am trying to only put positive
thoughts in my life. This blog is a place where I can share my artwork
which is a positive outlet for me.
So I am asking for everyone to ONLY leave positive comments Please.
This will help my changing & healing process.

Scrapbook Meetup....
2 page Layout
We had so much fun last night at our weekly Scrapbook Meet Up!
We talked about everything possible
shared stories & had a blast!!
Here's the 2 page layout I finished....
it took longer then I planned.
I had so many pictures of the kids swimming in
the pool and really did not know what do
with all those pictures. So I cropped them way down!
The Scrapbook Kit I used is Stampin' up!
But it is retired. It's called Party Pieces.
It was from the 2006-2007 SU catalog!
I also used chipboard letters
I had to trace them on DSPaper and cut them out!
The pictures for this layout were from a vacation we took
with my Dad & Step Mom Linda!
The kids were really little.
Madeline was 5, Mac 4 & Myles was 2!!
from 2002!!
So you can see I am REALLY behind
on my scrapbooking but who isn't!!
Scrapbooking these pictures makes me miss
my kids when they were little!
& how they grow up so FAST!!
